Seminar Content This five-day course is a fast-paced application of the Lean Tools for Lean Production System Designers and Implementers. A lot of material is covered within these five days. Lean Tools covered in this five day series include: 5S, Quick Changeover, Supermarket Pull with Kanbans, Continuous Flow, Total Productive Maintenance and Value Stream Mapping. The Lean Core Tools training is the foundation course to those pursuing Lean Certification.
Who Should Attend This course is designed for those responsible for the design and implementation of their organization’s Lean Production System. This includes: Material Handling Leadership, Manufacturing Leadership, Lean Sensei, Continual Improvement Leaders and Process Engineers.
Recommended Training and/or Experience Participants should possess a working knowledge of manufacturing operations. This course is fast-paced and requires critical thinking.
Course Materials Each participant will receive a course manual. All concepts will be introduced using examples.
Course Goals • Understand the merit of Overall Equipment Effectiveness as a process metric to improving flow • Focus on the use of Value Stream Mapping as the driving instrument to improve flow • Provide an applications level instruction of how to implement the Lean Tools to achieve the “Future State” Value Stream • Lean Production System Designers and Implementers will gain a working knowledge to design and implement Road Maps to achieve the “Future State” Value Stream
